Remember to USE page numbers and POST these questions on your blog. Lawyers, use this document to create cross-examination questions. Two per character should be sufficient.

Character:Ji-Li's father Student Name:Tristin Sanderson

1. Question:how do you feel being held against your will at work ?

Answer: I felt really Bad I did not really understand why they thought I was a rightist
After my father died and gave up the land I should have been normal not a land owner. So I don't understand why they are rude to me because of my past.

2. Question: why were you sent to punishment and kept there?

Answer: I was sent because my father is considered a rightist and a land lord, and after he died when I was 7 the land was mine after that so then I was a rightist till' I sold the land. in effect I lost money and I had to get a job, we also had to move into a smaller house(top of pg.15) but at least I wasn't against Mao. But then the Red Guards came and took me just because of my past. I couldn't believe I was taken because of that.

3. Question: why didn't you let Ji-Li become a red successor?

Answer: I thought that she might do wrong thing or hurt people with money like the rightist. And i didn't want her to be with Mao, she could become one of those people that are all about Mao. If she did become a red successor she could go against her own family one day. I dont want something like that to happen.

elliots exspose for revealers

Blog response instructions:
• Answer the questions in complete sentences and use proper English (restrain from using MSN chat style of writing).
• Use evidence from the novel to support your answer and include page numbers.
• When commenting to your peers, be respectful in your language and about their responses. It is okay to disagree, but do it in a polite manner.

When Elliot writes about his experience with the Jock Rots and sends it out over the KidNet, he includes the following quote in his letter.

"I think people ought to realize that stuff like this goes on every day…The rest of you are all part of it-because you let it go on and maybe you think it's funny, or you think it only happens to geeky outsiders and kids who are smaller or fatter or skinnier or don't have so many friends or so much money as you. So tell me-what happens when you don't have so many friends one day, or you don't have so much money, or something bad happens to you?" (91-92)

Blog Question:
What is the message is he trying to get across to his classmates? (6pts)

In his letter to the student body, Elliot writes about his experience with the Jock Rots. At the end of his letter he goes on to state an important message. Elliot's message to his peers is that everyone in the student body is responsible for Parkland school's bullying problem. "The rest of you are all part of it - because you let it go on," he writes. (92)

I think he is trying to get the word out that bullying is a big problem at parkland middle school. He talks very strongly about how he feels about what the jock rots did to him. and I agree with what he says so people do let bullying just goes on and on. On page 92 when Elliot is talking about the bully lab I think it wasn't accidental or had no meaning at all I think he was on to something that was completely his idea. I think he was making a big contribution to is community.

Blog Question: After the Bully Lab was renamed, the Revealers, and the stories of the three Darkland students were released and well received by the student body, Elliot wanted to publish Russell’s narrative about Richie punching Russell in the face.
1) Why was Russell so opposed to the idea (pg. 110)? Explain. (4 pts)
A:i think Russel may have been to afraid to do it because if he did Richie may hurt him again. Also he may have just not wanted to show the school that he was tattling or crying about it.It also wasn't as extreme as Elliot being thrown off a bridge so maybe he was afraid of people noticing.
2) What is happening to the relationship between Russell and Richie. (3 pts)
A:i think it is getting worse and worse because now Richie is Even more angry at Russel. So i think its just going to get worse. But i think eventually Richie should tell some one even if hes afraid of what people will think.
3) Two Peer Comments (4 pts each)
